HOW IT WORKS
Once you have finished your song, just upload your stems to a cloud service or to our dedicated server.
I’ll apply professional mixing and mastering techniques, using top-tier hardware and plugins to make your song radio-ready!
You’ll receive a high-quality render of your song, allowing you to listen on your preferred playback system and request revisions until you’re satisfied.
Once you’re completely satisfied with the mix and master, I’ll send you the final .WAV files, ready for distribution.

Interview with Oscar Troya
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I’m constantly working at my studio on my music.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. There’s something special in analog gear, it’s that 3% at the end that makes a difference.
Q: What’s your ‘promise’ to your clients?
A: I promise that we’ll work things out until you get what you expect.
Q: What’s the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: “In order to achieve those crazy loud volumes you have to do it in the master”. WRONG!. The secret is in the Mix.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask customers to provide at least 2 reference songs and their own render so I can have a better idea of what they are looking for.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My laptop, my speakers and a midi keyboard. That’s it
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started really early, I was djing when I was only 11 years old. I have been producing for more than 10 years now. I’m touring constantly thanks to my songs.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would like to work with Axwell or Calvin Harris. I just love their songs and production/songwritting techniques
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Use less tools and plugins to get your work done. The more you specialize in the few things you have, the more you get out of it.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on EDM and Pop music. But I also do other genres like Reggaeton, Trap, Dubstep, you name it.
Q: What’s your strongest skill?
A: I became obsessed with Mixing and Mastering, so I started learning from many engineers while I worked in Los Angeles in a studio. From there I developed my own techniques and processes.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring that special sparkle that makes a song truly shine on the radio and streaming services.
Q: What’s your typical work process?
A: I get the stems from my clients into Logic, then I organize them in groups and start working from there. I listen and then process each stem, one by one.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio runs on Logic Pro X. I use a Universal Audio Apollo Interface with Genelec 8040a Speakers and Yamaha NS10m Speakers. I have a custom made SSL Compressor that does wonders to glue my mixes and 4 Pultec Clones, no plug-ins can even come close for this task. I really know how to use my plugins and how to get the best of them. I use a combination of analog and digital processors.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I get inspired by many producers and engineers, but mostly it’s Axwell, deadmau5, Luca Pretolesi and Calvin Harris
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I get asked constantly to Mix and Master songs for fellow artists. I love doing this so I decided to join SoundBetter just to do it more.

Oscar has been working as a DJ/Producer for almost 20+ years. He has released tracks on Spinnin’ Records, Universal Music, and many other prominent labels and was invited to conduct a Masterclass for the Berklee College of Music in his country, where he taught his production techniques.
Over the years, he has developed and perfected his skills as a mixing and mastering engineer, utilizing his own techniques. He knows how to maximize the potential of his gear and plugins, using a combination of analog equipment and digital plugins depending on the track.
